Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Branau, Austria. Hitler despised the Jews because he blamed them for the evils of the world. He said,'' By defending, myself against the Jews, I am doing the Lord's work.” He also believed that Germany must stay ''pure'' by avoiding marriage to Jews and Slavs.
Hitler thought that democracy could only lead to Communism, and that dictatorship was the only way to save Germany from the threats of Communism and Jewish treason. He wrote a book, called Mein Kampf, containing his beliefs and ideas for Germany's future. He wrote that territories lost in World War I would be recovered, and Austria and parts of Czechoslovakia would be added to Germany. He stated that the growing German nation would seize the living space from Poland, the Soviet Union, and other countries to the east. With Germany's imminent defeat in Spring 1945, Hitler committed suicide along with his wife Eva Braun.

Erwin Rommel
Erwin Rommel was born on November 15, 1891. He grew up in Germany, and when he was older, joined the German military. He fought in World War One for Germany. For his work in World War II, he was raised to a higher level of the military by Adolf Hitler. He grew popular with the German people. However, in 1944, he started to doubt Hitler and his decisions as chancellor. Members of his inner circle discussed how to run the government once Hitler was overthrown, and told Rommel that he should rule..
Rommel opposed attempts to assassinate Hitler, but his group proceeded without him. In July, 1944, the group attempted to assassinate Hitler. They failed, and soon after, it was revealed that Rommel had contact with the attempted assassins. He was now accused also. Instead of taking him to trial, they gave him an option of taking his own life by cyanide poisoning, or going to trial. On October 14, 1944, at the age of fifty-two, Erwin Rommel took his own life.
